Try as South Florida's stormy weather might, it couldn't thwart the magic happening in front of my lens at this fun Mizner Park engagement shoot in Boca Raton with Pooja and Neeraj. When we found out it was going to rain all day during their one day visiting family in South Florida, I quickly got over my disappointment because they were both not only okay with shooting despite the weather, but they were actually excited to use the rain to their advantage! As a photographer, rain is inconvenient, but also a bit of an exciting challenge! So, I told Pooja to find a clear umbrella and we would have some fun!
Both of these two love birds are currently in the last leg of med school and are planning their traditional 3-day Indian wedding for June of 2019. When I asked how they met, she said as freshman at UF, mutual friends introduced them over a "luxurious dinner at the student center Papa Johns," ha! They became fast friends, but didn't realize they had romantic feelings for one another until a couple of years later. And here's the best part of the story: Neeraj proposed to her in A HOT AIR BALLOON AT DISNEY WORLD!! I mean. Does it get any better than that?!
We may have only gotten a few dry photos before the rain started to soak us all (sorry about your jacket, Neeraj!), but it was clearly worth the soggy shoes and damp clothing for the adorable moments I got to capture of these two!
