Have you ever looked at someone's wedding album or family photos hanging on the wall and observed the stiffness in their bodies & strain in their smiles in photo after photo and thought, "Well, this is impersonal..."?That's exactly the opposite of what I believe photography should be!
Photography should tell a story--YOUR story--as it happens. Anyone can hold hands and smile at the camera, & don't get me wrong, I'll be helping you out with some natural-looking poses (because those are important, too!), but those aren't the only moments worth remembering; some of the absolute best photos are when you didn't even realize I was pointing a camera at you because you were just too busy living in that beautiful, wonderful, EPIC moment of your life that you only get to experience once! Brides, that look on your man's face when you walk down the aisle? I gotchu! The tear your dad is wiping off his cheek during your father-daughter dance? I'll get that, too! That one groomsmen who thinks he got "moves like Jagger" tearing up the dance floor? You KNOW I'm all over it!
Whatever you want to call this style (photojournalistic, documentary, candid--it's got many names), it's just naturally what I am most drawn to capture when I've got a camera in my hand, and what I'm most excited to capture of you and your family and loved ones! I will be out of your way snapping those candid shots I love so much, and also all up in your business to help you when you're not sure how to stand without looking awkward. Rest assured, whether posing for the camera or off in your own little happy world enjoying the bliss of the day, you'll see a nice blend of photos to commemorate your special occasion.
So, if you are looking for photos that reflect the rawness and realness of your life, and not ones that look like they were taken out of a department store catalog, then HELLO & NICE TO MEET YAH, we may just be a match made in photographic heaven! :)

If you've taken a look around my website, you've probably noticed that not only do I love to shoot in natural sunlight, but all of my photos, whether rain or shine, indoor or outdoor, night or day, all have the same 3 qualities:
BOLD, COLORFUL, & WARM.
Unless they're black and white, I tend to create images that are vivid and lively, because I believe they best capture the essence of the people in front of the lens and the emotions of the moment. Editing styles come and go in the photography industry, but you can depend on the fact that color is ALWAYS in! I mean, who doesn't instantly feel warm fuzzies looking at an image with scrumptiously saturated hues?
