When the couple are total bibliophiles, it's only the natural choice to sneak into a library for their engagement photos, and pray you don't get kicked out! That's exactly what we did at the Spanish River Library in Boca Raton, and it totally paid off! The best part about this library is the beautiful property it's built on: greenery, a lake, and a cute little bridge, all of which we took advantage of with the most vibrant sunset as our backdrop! 

     It doesn't take much time hanging out with Rose & Rick to see that they're a perfect match for one another. I'm always so impressed by military couples and the devotion and long-suffering they have to make it work, especially when one of them is deployed for long periods of time. I remember talking to Rose while Rick was still away in Africa, hearing both the highs and lows of having such a stressful long distance relationship. Despite the many hardships they encountered in their time apart, the hope of knowing he'd return with intentions to make her his fiancée was an excitement that I couldn't help but get caught up in, especially when talking about the fact she wanted a sapphire ring instead of a diamond (I'm the biggest sucker for nontraditional rings!). Not long after Rick returned, he shared with me his forthcoming plans to pop the question and when I walked into church one day, I saw the happy couple smiling ear to ear, and that beautiful blue stone glinting at me from Rose's finger.

     When they asked me to do their engagement and wedding, I was over the moon excited!! On December 28th, they're going to tie the knot in Rose's parents' backyard and I couldn't be more honored and pumped to document it, and cross "backyard wedding" off my bucket list. I always joke with Rose that she's my style icon and I would steal all the clothing in her closet if I could, so I just know I'm going to adore everything about this wedding!

     This was one of the cutest locations I've shot in and I had a lot of fun capturing this couple in an environment they both love so much. Enjoy some of my favorite shots from the session!
